Black Walnut Signature 38 by 15 Aquarium Cabinetry
They say New York City has it all, but if not, it is one step closer now. This is a drop dead gorgeous oiled black walnut Signature series aquarium cabinet and canopy. Almost everything about this cabinetry is customized to fit the owners personnel needs.
The deck height is dropped to 28 inches. The doors and the trim on the cabinet have been rescaled to fit the reduced height. The canopy is lowered to conserve height as well. But do not let the small size fool you. The cabinet and the canopy sport ports for increased ventilation. The wood is a combination of solid black walnut and select veneers. The wood has been aging in our shop for three years and has an incredible amount of character that only seasoned wood can deliver.
For the natural finish the customer requested oil. We oiled the cabinetry several times and then cleared it with sealer and conversion varnish over the period of about 1 month. The end result is in a class by itself. The oiling adds depth that when combined with clear coating is almost 3-d. We appreciate the customers patience while waiting for the finish to cycle through.
