Minwax Stains

Minwax stains are available in several different types. One is the traditional oil based and the other is the water based line. Either one will produce high quality results. The biggest difference (other than the composition) is the selection of colors. They are very different, be sure to look at both.

Minwax stains require an extended drying time that may be heavily influenced by weather. The cost to apply these stains is slightly higher than professional stains such as Sherwin William's Chemical Coatings line.

Minwax stains can be found at most major home improvement stores.

Important! Browsers reproduce colors that may or may not match the actual brochure. Brochures are reprographic facsimiles of stains and may vary from the actual color of the stain. Additionally different types of woods and their unique characteristics will alter the actual color of a stain. A dark wood will produce a darker effect, a light colored wood produces a lighter color. Any color characteristics in the wood will lend themselves to the final color. If you see a color you like, go and pick up an actual chart and send that in with your order. We cannot be responsible for variations in printing and product formulation. If we have a problem with getting the wood to match the brochure, we will let you know before the cabinetry is stained.
