Quite a few of the cabinets and canopies that we manufacture are for businesses. There are a few things that we notice that seem to make some installs more professional than others. Generally small items, but they can really help with how well the cabinetry fits into the business.
Is price the main issue or is the ability to match existing furnishings? If it is price, then grab one of our entry models, Standard or Contemporary I series. These are our least expensive cabinets and represent either a traditional or a modern look. If that is not in the ball park, move them to a mass produced item.
Start with what style of cabinetry you need to make the customer happy. The reason we offer some many different choices is to give you the flexibility of matching different furnishings out there with out having to order something totally custom. In general you are either looking for a more traditional look or very modern look. Once that is decided on, which model best matches their existing furnishings or taste?
What kind of wood do you need the cabinetry manufactured from? If the office is outfitted in obviously nice furniture, find out what kind of wood it is. If the customer has gone to the trouble and expense of decorating their office with a particular type of wood, stands to reason that they may wish to continue that theme forward. Many times people do not realize that they have other choices instead of red oak. Bid the job in an upgraded wood to match the office furniture. You might be surprised at how receptive customers will be. People can be very concerned with how an aquarium is going to look in their business. They certainly do not want it to look out of place or ugly.
To be continued.
