A swiki search engine is a cross between a wiki and a search engine. Just as the users control the content in a wiki, so do they with a swiki as they make searches for information.
How does it work? The more popular a search term is, more information for that term is indexed by the swiki. The less popular a search term is, less information for that search phrase is stored in the swiki. The swiki learns through search request what is important to it’s community- Aquariums, and builds it’s information around that.
How well does it work? Seems to work fine. Lots of results for search terms are delivered and the swiki stays focused on the search term. But this is all new to us and thought it might be fun to try out. Give it a shot.
When you first enter a search term the browser will take you to the main swiki page for Aquariums. When you are done with your searching you will find a link in the upper left to return back to BRI.
